Why we do what we do
We’re going to add a couple of billion people to our planet in the next thirty years, but natural resources for food production can’t grow any further. Farming efficiency has grown big, but we didn’t address the issue of food waste. One third of what we produce today goes to waste. The numbers are immense: 1.3 billion tons of global food waste every year, the equivalent of 41 cars per second. We believe the way forward is better utilising these resources, by focusing on prevention and using technology as the enabler.
